Artist's Comments

When you ask people in Thailand what they think of Bangkok, they almost immediately complain about the traffic. I was stunned when I saw traffic here. A good portion of it is motorcycles, including motorcycle taxis. They weave their way between lanes, between other vehicles, on the sidewalk, etc. to get to the front of the pack. When the light turns green, they're off with a sound like an enraged hive of bees. This is what it looked like to me.

Bangkok Rush by ^superkev I love this. There's the still. The halfway moving. And the moving. Very cool photo. But why wouldn't it be a cool photo? The deviant is very talented. Why DD a person that can DD? Because I like the photo! (Featured by `cweeks)

That is an excellent motion shot! It really gives you that feeling of the traffic starting up all at once, as if the traffic light just changed.
It also reminds me of the film effect that you see every once in a while for city shots, often used to give the impression of time passing.

"human traffic"

I wont diminish the wickedness of this piece by posting a comment... just sit back and enjoy the human traffic in motion... that's just what art is...

Wonderful shot, Kev.
I love the longer exposure capturing the blurred motion.
Jakarta's exactly the same when it comes to traffic. When I lived there I didn't even leave home between 4.30 and 8.30 pm because of the traffic. It gets even worse if it starts to rain. That's when shit hits the fan and you're screwed. I've taken 2 hours before to travel a distance that usually takes 45 minutes with medium traffic.

Great shot. You captured it beautifully.

This was my favorite the first time I saw it and I'm still very much in love with it. The sheer velocity you've captured is mind blowing and it makes my head spin. An incredible perspective and a feeling of utter chaos abounds.

Spectacular

MMmm great picture

The warm colors reminded me of the air pollution in Taiwan, which is probably just as bad as Thailand, but most likely worse.
