Ok well this one is a bit more obvious than my last one, but I thought it was pretty and gross at the same time. I love that mix!
This is my second entry for $chix0r and $spinegrinder's Anti-Valentines Contest. TECH Lighting was standard "glass lighting" for those of you who are keeping score. There is a softbox on either side, pointing more or less towards the camera, so the light goes through the glass and the ice cubes. This is how you avoid the ugly reflections in the glass. The lens is the Sigma 105mm f2.8 EX Macro that I love so much. A lot of people have been asking me lately, "What lens should I get for macro and portraits?" This is the one. It's very flexible. It has great color and sharpness, can focus down to about 30cm, and it won't break the bank. What more could a portrait/product/macro photographer ask for? |

How do you get such a black background? do you edit it slightly afterwards, or do you have a black background when you take the photo?

I'm loveable...
Thank you very much for the tech bits, it's the stuff like that that really helps people like me learn more about photography. Thank you.
