^hesitation and I experimented with colored light on the weekend. I had my two new Alien Bees flashes set up one to front left, and one to back right, diffused through umbrella boxes. I put a sheet of red cellophane over the rear light, and a sheet of purple cellophane over the front light. My Vivitar 283 was fired down from behind and almost directly above through a blue filter to capture hair highlights (which you can't see in this shot). The goal was to capture an exotic kind of "night club" feel, and to softly accentuate body contours. I hope you like the results!

Ya know, Alina looks to me almost like a vampire here. Maybe I've been watching too many spooky movies this week ... with Halloween coming and all ... and perhaps it's the lighting in the image.
I love the composition and Alina's pose. The addition of the jewelry is very nice here, and not overpowering at all. It's a classy picture of classy lady!
This image, or rather the procedure of lighting, SEEMS a bit different from your normal routine, perhaps because the cellophane is new and you're experimenting again. Keep that up, it's all good! I know you have used the color filters for your 283's before, but I don't think to this extent.

But diamonds are a girl's best friend
A kiss may be grand but it won't pay the rental on your humble flat
Or help you feed your pussy cat

Doesnt really strike me as having a nightclub feel to it though, it seems more like an advertisement, with the diamonds and her expression.
this makes me think of a smoky jazz lounge..
I could see her draped over a piano, singing in a sultry voice.
