Getting up early has its perks. I snapped this shot on a weekend at the cottage last month. Underexposing a sunrise or sunset shot by 2 stops (-2EV) or so often brings out some crazy colors. Try it some time. :)

i'll use the typical word and say this is quite serene. something that caught me off guard was the abnormal crispness of the photo, because nature usually appears so soft to me. excellent colors. was the sky that pink, or did you make it that way? good job kev.

Not a typical superkev shot ... but executed very well here. My only gripe is with that bright spot on the waterline about 1/3 over from the right ... perhaps a highlight on a dock or boathouse? It's so small in this presentation that it kind of looks like a hot pixel of sorts. A full-sized print of this would reveal much more detail there I'm sure.

The color is wonderful ... even if not entirely natural to the eye compared to the real scene, it still looks natural here. Very nicely composed ... serene!
