This is a photo I waited hours to get. I got to the courtyard of the Louvre about an hour before sunset, and had the pleasure of watching the sun go down on this beautiful place. At least 10 people came up to me and asked in at least 5 different languages if the lights would be coming on in the pyramid that night. I had no idea. Anyway, I took a lot of photos, including another one similar to this without the pyramid lit up. After it became fully dark outside, I decided that would be the end of my night. I went for an extremely expensive espresso at the Café Richelieu at the side of the courtyard. As I sat there sipping, the lights came on in the pyramid. I shot down my espresso and ran out there again to do some more shooting. This is one of my favorites.

your so lucky... when i was there to photograph at night, the guards chased me away... as I had a tripod. They said I was a "professional" But well done!

Ah, Paris, the city of lights. I've been there several times, and every time I visit I am amazed at the feeling that I have just gotten home. :)
