Well, just about everything in this world has been photographed. And this structure, probably more than almost anything else in the world. So my challenge is always to find a new ways of looking at things. I got up at 5:30am and got my self to the Eiffel Tower just in time to see the sun rise. It's been said before that one of a photographer's most important tools is an alarm clock. I have to agree there. Shooting outside early in the morning not only gives you great light, but also allows you to be alone. The only other people around were a few cleaners trying to keep up with the scattered detritus of the previous day's tourist crowds, and a trio of soldiers with serious looking automatic weapons. It was rewarding to get some shots without people in them. This is the first of a small series.
