Notes: This was the extremely challenging. I needed to do something difficult, since many of my recent photos have been easy. Anyway, according to +suzi9mm I was working on this for 3 hours. :faint: Well, I didn't notice that, but I did feel very tired when I finally got the shot I was happy with. Three light sources here, but I wanted it to still look simple. Here it is. :)

I love the magical feeling it exudes. I love the perfect lighting that manages to capture each nuance in perfect illumination without blowing anything out. I love the gentle yet protective grasp on the orb. I know it was difficult but you've made it look easy because you're a bloody genius.



I want this in a print !

I really, absolutely love this photo. For some reason, I think the stark clarity of the lines in the hands make it for me. You can see every one! Even the prints of the closes fingers...

You're the master of photographic light on dA. It's been said over and over and has become an axiom.
Now it's the next step, i think, when the lighting is so perfect that it's invisible. "how else COULD it be?" in terms of lighting is what we're going for i think.

taking a single simple subject and creating a piece of art with light without making light the subject is really a skill that you displayed here beautifuly :nod:
