They say the eyes are the window to the soul. Allison's are like picture windows.
As soon as I saw these eyes I knew I had to photograph her. Fortunately she agreed to a shoot for my Femme Elemental series. Although this is not part of the Femme Elemental series--it's just a warmup shot in advance of the "real" shooting--I still liked how it turned out. In this portrait, I wanted to capture her wonderful mix of innocence and edge. You can also see Allison in Descent.
i can see what u mean about her eyes but i think her lip stud ruins the picture a little
and is it just me or does she have a really long kneck?
although she is very pretty
great lighting. i like the way that it looks as if she's glowing. the first thing that came to mind was 'clean and pure' and that was before i looked at the title or description. extremely nice. i don't think her labret jewelry ruins the effect at all. in all honesty, i think it enhances it.

I really like the softness, clarity in this. Her eyes are beautiful indeed.
I love to see the hair back and the lip piercing, very nice details.
You did a very good job here. Congrats.

I'm better than I was before but not as good as I'm gonna get.
The impecable softness of lighting dissolving the form of her face, amplifies the sense of purity. Her skin adopted the subtle pink undertone, echoed in the more vibrant hues of her hair and eyebrow, which simoultaneously outline her from the vast negative space.
She seems to be leaning into the frame, like a little gurl would against the bark of a tree, or a door frame.... observing quetly. Her eye wide open, in all sincerity.
I know that her neck and shoulder line were aimed for, to create the sensual slide and a notion of vurnerbility , and the traces of her foreground pony tail help bring out that vertical line, but i can't help but wish for it to have been conceiled entirely...as if she had pulled all of her hair and tossed it over the left shoulder, outside the frame. ..and perhaps without the strap... to make for an un-interrupted flow of subtlety and delicacy.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
