I love travelling, and when I travel, I love going to the train station. Train stations are full of mystique to me. So many people, travelling to may different ultimate destinations, yet sorted so neatly into categories defined by which trains they're catching.

This is the train station (rautatieasema) in Helsinki, one of the first places I saw in the city when I went to visit ©suzi9mm. It's a very ordinary place to people who live in Helsinki, but as soon as I saw it I knew I had to come back with a camera to capture it how I saw it... as almost a place of worship to those for whom travel is a spiritual experience.

You were totally right about the whole "place of worship" thing. This has the feeling of a stained-glass lit church, with the people walking toward the front to genuflect. I love how the foreground is all in bluegreens, while the background is ablaze with gold. Gorgeous.

very nice vision you have :) May I suggest you crop the edgest and enlargen it out vertically? I just think I could benifit from a slight crop of the black to focus on the hight and grandness of the interior :) T'is a great photo tho even if you decide not to crop it :)

Quite a nice shot :) By looking at the meta-data, I can see that you used a slow shutterspeed and still the result is quite good..I'm wondering whether you used a Tripod to take this shot?
