Well, it's been a terribly long time since I've written a journal, and as you might notice, I no longer wear a hat before my deviant name. After wearing the hat since 2004, I've decided to give up my position as Gallery Director. It's not because I didn't love what I did here, because I most certainly did love it. Being a Gallery Director gave me the opportunity to be in contact with so many amazing artists, and experience so many incredible photographic creations. It gave me motivation to think about photography on spiritual and philosophical levels. I was proud to be part of a dedicated and hardworking team, that cared about art and artists first, and who make substantial daily sacrifices to make deviantART better for everyone, often without thanks. Most importantly, dA introduced me to some of the very most important people in my life. All that being said, life has moved on. I'm now commuting regularly between three cities (Hamilton, Toronto, and Montreal). While I'm exhilarated that I always have new challenges, I simply can't devote the time and energy this community deserves from its Gallery Directors.
I'm not gone though. I love deviantART and all it's done for my own artistic journey. I'm still passionate about photography and photographers. I will be around, posting and contributing to the community as best I can. I will just make room for someone else to lead the fantastic photography gallery.
So, as I've said in the past, why are you wasting time reading this? Go out and take some pictures!
